Yu-Chi Hou 侯侑期
Hi, I am Yu-Chi Hou (侯侑期), and many people also know me as Cory. I am a Ph.D student in mathematics at University of Maryland, College Park since 2022 fall. My advisor is Tamás Darvas. You can find my CV here (Last updated: Mar. 16, 2026).
My research interest lies in geometric analysis, complex geometry, and algebraic geometry (specially focus on canonical Kähler metrics, pluripotential theory, and their relations to algebraic geometry). Recently, I am pondering about Kähler quantization in degenerate setting.
Others
Outside mathematics, I follow football, especially FC Barcelona. I also enjoy watching films. My current all-time top four are Yi Yi (2000), The Act of Killing (2012), In the Mood for Love (2000), and Mulholland Drive (2001). I also love music. You can occasionally find me at venues in the D.C. area. Finally, I spend money (very occasionally) on dining.
